Leadville Activities

Leadville is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise! An 11.5-mile trail encircles the city, taking the visitor through the national forests, mining district and to beautiful views of Colorado’s “fourteeners”. Located along the trail, which is non-motorized, are descriptions of some of the famous mines. Cyclists and hikers can enjoy the history of various mines located along the trail, through the interpretative signs located at the sites. The paved surface is usable year-round.
